"There's a reason I'm alive."

Brian and Joyce Smith have witnessed a miracle as their son fought for his life after falling through a frozen lake in Missouri. Their 8th-grade son, John, was not given much chance for survival as he was pronounced dead for 45 minutes. But NEVER count God out!

John was on the ice with some friends and fell through. He was trapped under the ice for 15 minutes before being airlifted to the nearest hospital. And pronounced dead after many nurses and physicians worked to save his life.

And, then his mother began to pray. Loudly! And, God sent a miracle!

At that moment, his heart began to beat once again. The doctors are also chalking this up as a miracle from God.

Dr Kent Sutterer, the attending physician, was wearing a blue bracelet with Jeremiah 29:11 printed on it. This scripture teaches us, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

No truer words have been spoken nor promised nor witnessed than by these parents, physicians, friends and family than on THIS day!

Thank you God for our faith and for teaching us to NEVER give up on you! Your love is never ending and offered without condition. Thank you, God, for giving this family such an amazing miracle. May you bless John and use him to bring you glory!
