A Police Officer Sits Down To Tea With A 2-Year-Old For The BEST Reason!

You'll Just LOVE The Reason For This Tea Party!

Several photos of a police officer and sweet little girl having a tea party have started going viral. And while the pictures are enough to melt your heart instantly, the story behind these pictures is even more powerful. You see, the angel in pink is the now 2-year-old Bexley Norvell. How They Met

A year ago, Bexley was only 22 months old when she swallowed a coin and was unable to breathe. Just minutes before Corporal Patrick Ray arrived at the scene, Bexley was completely unresponsive. [rsnippet id="3" name="Article-Ad"] With two small children of his own, Corporal Ray couldn't help but to think of his own family as Bexley's terrified blue eyes stared into his. Credit: Chelle Cates Photography So, he wasted no time, going straight to work at clearing her throat. And by the grace of God, he succeeded!

"It was the most beautiful sound I'd ever hear in my entire life," he said about Bexley's cries once the coin was dislodged -- cries that meant she was able to breathe again!

"Whenever I do ask my children, 'what do you want to pray for?' Bexley always says Officer P. Ray."

One Year Later

And so, when the one year anniversary of that fateful day came, Bexley and Tammy wanted to celebrate in a special way. They decided to invite Corporal Ray to a special tea party, and hired professional photographer Chelle Cates to document the incredible reunion. In light of all of the negativity surrounding law enforcement these days, she says:

"I want people to have an image of the sweeter side."
