Patton Oswalt's Daughter Has Wise Words About Mom's Death

Patton Oswalt Shares His Daughter's Incredible Words Of Wisdom

It's difficult to know what to say after the death of a loved one. But actor/comedian Patton Oswalt's 7-year-old daughter, Alice, had some pretty profound words for her dad after the sudden passing of her mom.

True crime writer, Michelle McNamara (46), died unexpectedly in her sleep, leaving behind her husband, Patton Oswalt, and 7-year-old daughter, Alice. Patton, who's normally very active on Twitter, has understandably been quiet since his wife's passing, save for this touching Tweet:

But he recently broke his silence in order to share a heartbreakingly beautiful quote from Alice regarding the loss of her mother.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, but it came as a complete shock to Michelle's family.

But as messages expressing condolences and support pour in, the words that ring most true are those of 7-year-old Alice. Though she and her dad are navigating a devastating loss, Michelle's memory will be kept alive by those who loved her most.

It's incredible how sometimes, when adults are struggling to find the right thing to say, such incredible wisdom comes from the mouths of babes.

We pray for peace and comfort over this grieving family. God is always near to the brokenhearted, and we pray that His presence will be experienced and felt by both Patton Oswalt and his daughter during this difficult time.

Her late grandmother's coat inspired this beautiful tribute from her granddaughter!

This can create a low-level hum of anxiety if the upcoming family get-togethers feel like a risky walk through a minefield.
