Duck Dynasty Star's Jewelry Line Offers Women A 2nd Chance

It seems like stars are always coming out with their own product lines -- be it clothing, fragrance, etc. But there's something different about Laminin -- a new jewelry line by Duck Dynasty star, Missy Robertson. It's way more than just beautiful jewelry -- it's a life line for at-risk women trying desperately to turn their lives around from a variety of circumstances! Credit: laminindesigns.com At first, they Missy said they had women in mind that were like her before her family's TV success -- women who needed to work to contribute to the household income. But through a Celebrate Recovery Bible study group led by fellow Duck Dynasty star, Miss Kay (Missy's mother-in-law), God revealed He had other plans for the business. Credit: Youtube And what started as a dream, God has turned into an outreach for women in need in West Monroe, Louisiana.

"We wanted to give women in our community a new purpose," Missy explains. "And these women come from all walks of life. The ones who just cannot find a job because they've been incarcerated. They could be coming out of homelessness. We also have some who were rescued out of the sex trafficking industry right here in our town."

A local organization called Project 41, which is devoted to fighting sex trafficking, connects Missy with women who are in need of a job. At the Laminin House, Missy shows the women how to make the necklaces, bracelets, etc. that make up her jewelry line.

"It's a business, but it's also a way to minister to women who need it," Missy says of her jewelery line. "It's been really neat to see some of the transformation of these women."

It's based around the Bible verse from Colossians 1:17 -- "He is in all things and in him all things hold together." “That, to me, is more than a coincidence. God sent Jesus. That relationship with the holy spirit and how each one of them works within our bodies,” says Missy. “When you become a Christian and you come out of that water, it says in Acts 2 that you receive the gift of the holy spirit … it’s more than just a conscience.”
