Here's the Incredible Moment a Helicopter Rescue Team Found a Missing 3-Year-Old in a Field

A helicopter rescue team hopped right into action after a 3-year-old went missing in a cornfield in Ohio. And thankfully, it led to a happy ending!

As anyone lucky enough to have become a parent will confirm, it is life’s greatest blessing. Children bring so much joy and happiness to a parent’s life. However, their inquisitive nature and penchant for exploration can cause parents to experience considerable anxiety and worry.

A clip posted on YouTube details the dread and fear 3-year-old Ilya’s parents experienced when they first discovered he was missing. However, that same video also displays the precise moment when the young man was found safe in the field. 

Helicopter Rescue Team Saves The Day

In the moments after young Ilya’s disappearance, his parents were understandably frightened and struck with overwhelming panic.

“It was unreal,” Bella Dunin said. “When I first heard that he was missing, I got so stressed that I think I went numb.”

But, as the video points out, Ilya’s parents reached out to the state police for help. Soon after they called the authorities, informing them of their missing child, 100 police and volunteers joined the search for the 3-year-old boy.

Thankfully, after searching for the young man for nearly three hours, Ilya had been spotted by a helicopter rescue team. The pilot located the young man in a beanfield. The clip details how the crews on the ground and in the air worked with one another. The pilot in the copter directed people on the ground right to the child’s location.

Thank the Lord! A potentially devastating disaster had been avoided.

After people on the ground reached the child, they gave the pilot a thumbs up, signaling the young man was OK.

There were no injuries to the child reported. But he had somehow managed to lose his shoes. He was also said to be “soaking wet,” according to the video.
