Shannon Wessel is a high school biology teacher in Washington state. Recently, she asked her students to make her laugh for a few extra points on a quiz that they had just taken. And the jokes that her class shared with her are sure to bring a smile to your face!

“Here are some of the jokes they came up with,” Shannon said. “A biology teacher grew human vocal cords from stem cells in the lab? The results speak for themselves,” Shannon shared while laughing.
“What’s the best thing about Switzerland? I honestly have no idea, but the flag is a big plus,” she continued. “What does a chicken say when he sees lettuce? Chicken sees-a salad.”
Funny Student Responses to Extra Credit Question Have Teacher Rolling
The jokes continue and make Shannon giggle as she reads them aloud. What a funny extra credit assignment! And a great way for Shannon to also enjoy grading her students’ quizzes!
Shannon shared the jokes in a video on TikTok, and many people shared in her delight from the answers.
“Smart kids! Bet they all got extra credit!” one TikTok user commented on the video. “These are awesome! You have a very funny group of kids,” wrote another person.
