Man Comes Home During Thunderstorm To Find Something Completely Unexpected

A man rushed home to check on his new kitten when a nasty thunderstorm swept through LA. He worried the foul weather would terrify his new pet. He was right. But what he found when he opened his front door was an adorable picture of heroism -- dog protects kitten!

They say fear usually triggers the fight or flight instinct. While most of the time this is true, it can also bring about heroic and selfless acts.

So when one man came home to check on his new kitten during a particularly bad thunderstorm, he found that animals can react to fear in courageous fashion as well!

Animal Heroism: Dog Protects Kitten

The bright flashes of lightning and deafening peals of thunder had both his kitten and his roommate's dog terrified.

But this valiant pup pushed aside his own fears and did his best to keep this frightened feline safe and sound.

The unlikely pair snuggled up close and waited out the storm from the safety of the couch. And the surprised man snapped some photos of the unexpected scene, sharing them on social media.

These cute pictures had me smiling! But they also reminded me that we all have to weather different storms in our lives. And what a blessing it is when we have someone to lean on until sunnier skies return.
