Vin Diesel Honors His Late Friend By Walking Daughter Of Paul Walker Down The Aisle

When it came time for the daughter of Paul Walker to get married, the late actor's good friend, Vin Diesel, was the one to walk her down the aisle. And the touching moment highlights a special bond between these two that still exists today.

Most people remember Paul Walker for his role as Brian O'Conner in the wildly popular Fast & Furious franchise. But he was also a man of faith. In fact, the Christian celebrity struggled to understand how anyone could doubt the existence of God.

"I don't understand are atheists," Paul once said. He went on to explain, "I go surfing and snowboarding and I'm always around nature. I look at everything and think, 'Who couldn't believe there's a God? Is all this a mistake?' It just blows me away."

God used Paul's acting career to introduce him to fellow actor, Vin Diesel. And through the filming of the Fast & Furious movies, these two became as close as brothers. In fact, Vin Diesel even became godfather to the daughter of Paul Walker, Meadow.

Paul Walker Car Accident

In November of 2013, at just 40 years old, Paul Walker tragically lost his life in a car crash. He was riding as a passenger in a Porsche when his friend, who was driving, lost control of the car and slammed into a light pole.

As shocking as the actor's death was to fans, it was utterly devastating to his close friends and family. After hearing the terrible news, Vin Diesel rushed to visit Paul's mother so he could tell her how sorry he was. And to his surprise, Paul Walker's mother began telling Vin how sorry she was for him.

"Why? Why are you saying sorry to me?" Vin recalled asking her. "And she said, ‘Because you lost your other half.’"

During the initial grieving period, it's not uncommon to see a wave of support. But just as a brother would, Vin Diesel remained close to his friend's family, including the daughter of Paul Walker, long after the tragedy happened. He even named his own daughter Pauline as a tribute to his late friend.

So, when an especially big day for Meadow Walker arrived, Vin was there to support her!
