Christian Songs About Healing: Our 8 Favorites

As we go through life we have our ups and downs. Sometimes we even get hurt along the way. This could be a physical hurt from an accident, or something a little deeper like the hurt that comes when you have a strained relationship. As we wait for the healing that comes only from the Master Healer, our Heavenly Father, often times a great Christian healing song eases our pain.

Here are my 8 favorite Christian songs about healing; they include a mix of great hymns of faith and as well as some more recent contemporary songs.

8. He Will Carry Me

Favorite Lyrics: “And even though I'm walking through the valley of the shadow I will hold tight to the hand of Him Whose love will comfort me. And when all hope is gone and I've been wounded in the battle He is all the strength that I will ever need He will carry me.”

7. Still my God

Favorite Lyrics: “In a world where so much seems uncertain You remain both for the strong and broken. No matter where we are You are never far and nothing changes who You are.”

6. Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

Favorite Lyrics: “In the morning when I rise, in the morning when I rise. In the morning when I rise give me Jesus”

4. Healer

Favorite Lyrics: “I believe You're my Healer I believe You are all I need I believe You're my Portion I believe You're more than enough for me Jesus You're all I need.”

Favorite Lyrics: “It's not about me, Jesus, and all this is for You, for Your glory and Your faith, It's not about me. As if You should do things my way, You alone are God and I surrender.”

2. The Blood will Never Lose its Power

Favorite Lyrics: “It reaches to the highest mountain, it flows to the lowest valley; the blood that gives me strength from day to day, it will never lose its power.”

1. Even If

Perhaps the healing won’t come in this lifetime. This song made popular by the contemporary group Kutless reminds us that regardless of our life circumstance, God is still the Mighty One and because of this we should continue to sing His praise. Sing along with the video below.

7 Bible Verses to Help You Heal

*Psalms 41:3 *The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing:  thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.*

*Psalms 145:8 *The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.*

*Jeremiah 17:14*  *Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shall be saved:  for thou art my praise.*
