Ball Brothers Music Video For 'Hey Mama' For Mother's Day

'Hey Mama' Tribute

When the Ball Brothers started filming the video for their new song 'Hey Mama,' they knew it needed to be a tribute to great moms. And as you hear people describe their mom in one word and then hear this powerful song, you'll be moved. What a wonderful way to thank mommas for all they do!

The Ball Brothers are made up of two brothers, Andrew and Daniel Ball, their brother-in-law, Chad McCloskey, and newcomer, Rhett Roberts. Founded in 2006, the band is a part of the Christian music scene, finding balance between the old and the new.

"We've never been to a place where every person in the audience was the same age. On the contrary, most places we go have a mixture of young, middle-aged, and older people. So, our music style and song selection is based around that blend. It's great to see a grandmother and granddaughter worshiping together and enjoying the same music. We get to see that on a regular basis," Daniel shares.

'Hey Mama' was released in 2016, and it is quite the message to your mom on Mother's Day.

The lyrics start out with:

Hey, Mama
It's been awhile since we talked
But all I really need right now
Is a voice to pull me out of the dark

and then the song ends with,

Hey, Mama (Hey, Mama)
I know that we're worlds apart
But you've always given me a place
To open up my heart

To open up my heart
To open up my heart

And the perfect song for Mother's Day! A day to honor the person who has shown us so much love over the years. We can never thank our moms enough, but a song can be a great way to honor them.
