Another Baby For Chip And Joanna Gaines? Don't Rule It Out Just Yet

Less than a year after the arrival of their "sweet surprise," baby Crew and Chip Gaines caught everyone's attention when he started talking about Baby #6. His comments had fans eagerly wondering -- could there be another baby for Chip and Joanna Gaines? And based on the couple's recent appearance on the Today Show, I wouldn't rule anything out!

Joanna Gaines' Unexpected Pregnancy With Baby No. 5

Already a mom to four children ranging from 8 to 13, Joanna Gaines wasn't exactly planning on getting pregnant a fifth time. But God's plan is always better than our own.

And Joanna has since opened up about what a blessing the unexpected pregnancy has been.

“It wasn't something I could have anticipated. But being pregnant and ‘forced’ to slow down has been a gift," she explained after Crew's birth.

Well, it didn't take long before folks started wondering if Crew would be it or if this beautiful family would be bringing even more babies back to the Farmhouse.

And Chip only stoked the fire when he made his desires known in an interview with People Magazine.

“It’s hard to believe this little turkey will only be 10 years old when Emmie is graduating from high school,” he quipped. “I think we have to have another one because I’m particular about the only child thing. Crew needs a sister to manage this whole thing out. Don’t be surprised if No. 6 is in the cards!”

Joanna's perspective was a little different, however, as she reminisced about what pregnant at 40 was really like.

“When I first got pregnant I kept telling everyone at the office, ‘Guys, I am my best self when I’m pregnant.’ And then, for whatever reason, I was limping into work and I couldn’t breathe," she explained. "At 40, it’s definitely a little different.”

But now, it sounds like Joanna may be changing her tune!

Another Baby For Chip And Joanna Gaines?

As Joanna caught up with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on Today, she gushed about just how taken the Gaines family is with little Crew.

"He is a gift -- He has just [slowed] down time for us. He has been a gift."

Joanna was there to talk about her new design book Homebody. But when Chip crashed the scene (in true Chip-fashion), the conversation quickly turned to Crew and whether or not there would be another baby for Chip and Joanna!

Hoda asked the question on everyone's mind, prying to see if Joanna ever imagined their family getting a little bit bigger. Savannah quickly chimed in, pointing out how Chip said they were going to have 6 kids.

Joanna admitted she loves the pregnancy process -- both being pregnant and giving birth. And with four older kids around to change diapers and help out, Joanna sounded pretty open to the prospect of adding another to their brood.

"That's why, really, the idea -- not that we're having more -- but the idea... it's so easy," Joanna said.

With Chip sold on the idea of another baby and Joanna on the fence, I wouldn't count Baby #6 out any time soon. And we certainly wouldn't mind another adorable Gaines baby filling up our News Feed! :)
