Woman Bursts Into Tears When She Recognizes Secret Notes Hidden Behind Stranger's Walls

When Kimberley Colbeck came across a stranger's photos of the secret notes they found during a home renovation, she burst into tears. And that's because she and her family wrote those notes more than 30 years ago!

Sometimes God can reveal things to us when we need it the most. And that's what He did for Kimberley Colbeck.

While Kimberley was on social media one day, God led her to secret notes that came from a treasured memory. And it was just what she needed at the time!

Secret Notes Found In Walls

The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on everyone. But it was especially scary for Kimberley Colbeck and her family when her father, who suffers from dementia, contracted the coronavirus.

"At the beginning of the lockdown my dad contracted coronavirus," Kimberley said. "We had a full week of end of life discussions."

Thankfully, Kimberley's dad pulled through and is now back home. He hasn't seen his daughter for months and now she has something incredible to share with him.

One day, as Kimberley scrolled through Facebook, a stranger's post caught her attention. A man named Darren Moon shared photos of the secret notes he'd found hidden in the kitchen walls during a home renovation.

Right away, Kimberley Colbeck recognized the secret notes. They were the ones she and her siblings had written more than 30 years ago!

A Treasured Childhood Memory Resurfaces

The home used to belong to Kimberley's family. And in 1987, her late uncle helped fix up the kitchen. Kimberley, who was 3 at the time, along with her brothers Christopher (8) and Andrew (12) came together to hide secret notes within the walls.

So, what a shock it was to see the hand-written notes again, in perfect condition, more than 30 years later!

"I cried when I first saw the note," Kimberley said. "My older brother Andrew sadly passed away two years ago. It was really emotional to see his writing."

Kimberley has arranged a meeting with Darren so he can give her the secret notes. And she can't wait to show them to her father.

"Hopefully I can show my dad, who actually placed the notes for us when we were kids," she said. "'I'm so pleased I can get something from my childhood and I'm now thinking of creating a time capsule with my own daughter." 

What an incredible discovery!
