10. I Could Sing of Your Love Forever

This lovely worship song was written by Martin Smith and made popular by the Christian contemporary group “Delirious?”. In fact, it was so popular that several other groups covered it as well including Hillsong, Sonicflood, and Switchfoot. This is one of my favorite songs to lead in worship. I especially like how The Martin’s sing it. Sing along with the video below.

9. Beautiful

Dan Muckala and Brown Bannister of the group MercyMe wrote this song for their daughters (and the daughters of the other band members). It speaks of how God loves us so much that he gave his only begotten Son to die for us. We are beautiful in His eyes.

Favorite lyrics: “You were meant for so much more than all of this. You are treasured, you are sacred, you are His. You’re beautiful.”

8. The Love of God

Written in 1948 by Southern Gospel convention writer Vep Ellis, The Love of God shares its title with other songs. This one is best sung by a quartet such as the Gaither Vocal Band. I have included the lyrics of the chorus here for you.

Chorus lyrics: “The love of God is greater far than gold or silver ever could afford. It reaches past the highest star and covers all the world. Its power is eternal. Its glory is supernal. When all this earth shall pass away there'll always be the precious love of God.”

7. Love Me

This great song written by David and JJ Heller reminds us that God loves us just as we are. You can view and listen to a video here Love Me.

Favorite lyrics: “I will love you for you. Not for what you have done or what you will become. I will love you for you. I will give you the love, the love that you never knew.”

6. How He Loves

John Mark McMillan wrote this song and it was written as John Mark was grieving the loss of a dear friend.  It is a song that reminds us that regardless of what life has to deal us, God still loves us.  The song has been recorded by many, most notably David Crowder Band.

5. Remind Me Who I Am

This song tells of the truth that God loves us so much that He bought us with a price – the precious blood of His Son Jesus. Sometimes we take it for granted and need to be reminded not only who we are but of “Whose” we are. The singer marvels as he sings: “I’m the one you love, I’m the one you love … that will be enough. I’m the one you love.”

Bible Truth: 1 Corinthians 6:20 - "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

4. To God be the Glory

A favorite hymn of faith written by Fanny Crosby and William Howard Doane, the lyrics never lose their savor as we contemplate the great things God has done to show His love for us.

Favorite lyrics: “O perfect redemption the purchase of blood. To every believer the promise of God. The vilest offender who truly believes. That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.”

3. The Love of God

Same title, different hymn -- this one was written by Frederick Martin Lehman and Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai. It has a rich, melodious tune and heartfelt lyrics to match.

Favorite lyrics: “When years of time shall pass away and earthly thrones and kingdoms fall. When men who here refuse to pray on rocks and hills and mountains call. God's love so sure shall still endure all measureless and strong. Redeeming grace to Adam's race, the saints' and angels' song”

1. Love Lifted Me

I found a great history for this beloved hymn. It tells the story of Peter’s fear when he went out to walk on the water with Jesus. The lyrics of the song not only talk of the believer’s journey as they grow closer with the Lord but encourage even the unbeliever in how “Jesus completely saves”. The melody to this hymn is uplifting and one that will remain in your heart all day. Enjoy the amazing performance by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton below!
