Touching Moment A Brother And Sister Sing 'You Are My Sunshine'

There is nothing sweeter than a touching moment of love between siblings. And thankfully this momma captured one of those beautiful moment on camera. Amanda Bowman Gray is the proud momma of 5 incredible kids.

The family’s littlest is 2-year-old Bo who has Down Syndrome. Bo adores music. And, luckily for him he has one musically talented family! Mom Amanda and dad Caleb are musicians and Bo’s his big sister Lydia loves to play music and sing. Lydia truly has a God given gift of song, I mean this girl is talented. So whenever mom asks Lydia to watch Bo for a bit Lydia busts out her guitar.

Recently Lydia was watching Bo while mom took a shower and when mom got out she heard this adorable sound coming from the hall. Thankfully she grabbed her phone and went to check it out.

What she found was the sweetest moment of Lydia and Bo singing ‘You Are My Sunshine.’ As soon as Lydia starts to play Bo starts swaying side to side getting ready to sing. Speaking and singing can be tough for kids with Down Syndrome and they often develop their language skills a bit slower than other kids their age. But Bo already has a 12 word vocabulary thanks to music.

There is no question that music therapy is a powerful tool and Bo is the adorable proof! All of the words this cutie has learned come from listening to and singing along with his favorite songs. And as Lydia sings you can tell she knows which words are Bo’s favorites to sing. She pauses to let him sing along and just look at the twinkle in his eyes as he sings along.

I couldn’t help but get a little teary watching this beautiful moment! Little ones with Down Syndrome are such a blessing from the Lord, they truly show us what it means to love unconditionally. God bless this beautiful family. What other songs would y’all love to see from Bo and Lydia?
