Zach Williams Official Music Video For 'Old Church Choir'
Check out this wonderful music video of ‘Old Church Choir’ by Zach Williams.
“There's revival, and it's spreading like a wildfire in my heart, a Sunday morning, Hallelujah
And it's lasting all week long. Can you hear it? Can you feel it? It's the rhythm of a gospel song
Oh once you choose it, you can't lose it, there ain't nothing, there ain't nothing
Gonna steal my joy, I've got an Old Church Choir singing in my soul
I've got a sweet salvation and it's beautiful, I've got a heart overflowing 'cause I've been restored
There ain't nothing gonna steal my joy, no there ain't nothing gonna steal my joy”
We all remember going to church and hearing that gospel choir sing a hymn. That type of music truly ignites your soul for the Lord and 'Old Church Choir' from Zach Williams puts all those feelings into song. Nothing can steal our joy when Jesus is by our side!
Zach talked about the background of ‘Old Church Choir’ in an interview and shared how the song came about.
"I had this idea for this song from experiences I had growing up and going to small churches in the country and following gospel quartets with my grandparents. Memories of that are how God got my attention and got me interested in music at an early age and those experiences and encounters I had with Him,” said Zach. “I didn't really know how to react or respond to that as I didn't play music at the time. I've also loved music and my dad is a musician, and I feel like at an early age God put a song on my heart. For years of my life, I ran from that and didn't pursue God at all but He was constantly pursuing me and writing His story for my life that He wanted me to eventually tell.”
Zach continued: “Through that process God allowed me to live through a lot of things in my life that weren't good but gave me this platform to share about it. The idea for this song is about an old church choir in my soul, and how I couldn't contain anymore all the things that God has done in my life. I wanted to tell somebody about it and no matter what anybody said or did, nobody could take that away. That's the idea for this song and I wanted it to have a church gospel choir sound to it and that's how we wrote the song. We need to rejoice at all times."
