Comedian Jim Gaffigan Nails the Struggles of Aging with a Hilarious Story

Comedian Jim Gaffigan nails the struggles of aging with a hilarious story. The popular funnyman perfectly captures what it feels like to suddenly learn that you’re not as young as you used to be. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear Jim’s story about feeling old.

Aging is a process that happens to everyone. Time, which remains undefeated, stops for no one. Instead, it continues to march forward slowly. With every passing second, minute, hour and day, we get a little bit older.

Since getting older is inevitable, and we can’t do anything to stop the process, why not accept it and enjoy life as best we can? That’s what most people do because there is no other option. So, we go about our lives and tend not to think about getting older. It’s like we accept it but ignore it. That is, until someone or something reminds us of how old we are, which is what happened to Jim Gaffigan.

In a clip, the comedian mentioned it all began when he hosted a benefit for a hospital. The event organizer and Jim happened to graduate from the same college, and that’s when things hilariously went downhill.

“I did this benefit for a hospital,” he said. “It was a fancy event. When I showed up, the woman running the event was, like, ‘Oh my gosh, we went to the same college!’ She was younger, but we talked, and we realized we hung out at the same places. And then at the end of the event, I was leaving, and she ran up, and she was, like, ‘I need to know what year you graduated college.’ And I was, like, ‘1988.’  And she was, like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s the year I was born.’”

He probably could have done without that little piece of information.

2 Corinthians 4:16 “For which cause we do not give way to weariness; but though our outer man is getting feebler, our inner man is made new day by day.”
