In this viral TikTok, the mailman and dog share an amazing friendship that spans sixteen years! Can you believe it? Sixteen years of loving the mailman! Clearly, this pair of besties are debunking the age-old myth that the mailman and dogs are mortal enemies.

A woman by the name of Bridget captured this special bond on video. It shows her beautiful brown-colored senior dog sitting in luxury on her favorite dog bed, right outside the front door. 

Her dog is snuggling on blankets and waiting ever so patiently for her best friend. And just like clockwork, the mailman pulls up to the front of her house with the day’s latest post of bills, junk, and letters while this sweet dog wags her tail and trots over to greet him with a ‘good morning friend,’ wag of her tail. 

Mailman And Dog Friendship Warms Hearts

It is so sweet and so special; it will put a smile on your face and make you want to give your furry family member an extra scratch or two behind the ears. Bridget not only captured this special moment, but she also wrote: "My dog and mailman have been best friends for 16 years. She waits for him every day, all year round."

Since then, this viral video has also resonated with millions of people online with over 1.2 million views.

One animal lover wrote, “My previous mailman would give my dog treats every time he saw her, and when she wasn’t there, he’d leave her treats in the mailbox.” Isn’t that just so sweet!
