The Most Unlikely Flower Girl You've Ever Seen

A beautiful bride Laura VanPelt was planning her wedding and had someone very special in mind to be her flower girl: her sweet grandmother.
Laura broke the news to her almost 95-year-old grandmother Helen Catherine Kavanagh on Christmas.
"When she asked me, I just laughed," Helen recalled. "I thought she was kidding, of course. But then she said 'No, grandma, I'm not. I want you to be my flower girl."
It took the Grandmother Helen about a half hour to walk down the aisle. She happily sprinkled flower petals all around to prepare the way for her granddaughter. We can't think of a better person for this role than the person who has showered love and wisdom over her for all of her life.
Helen said that her special role in her granddaughter's wedding was "the biggest thrill I've ever had."
Grandmother Helen is blessed with 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a little baby on the way. We pray that God will continue to bless this family!
