Winnie Blagden Celebrates Turning 100 Years Old

Birthday's are special and SUPER special when you hit a milestone like 100 years! In a retirement community in Sheffield, England, a group is honoring Winnie Bladgen as she celebrates 100 years! Congratulations! :)
Winnie Blagden lives in a retirement community and is about to celebrate a huge milestone...alone. But her friends in the nursing home just couldn't let that happen.
In the absence of family, they let social media do the work and the made her day extra-special!
A local radio station in Sheffield took to Facebook requesting that people send cards to Winnie in honor of her day. Within days, the post had been viewed more than 2.5 million times and shared over 48,000 times! Making her celebration a day to remember! :)
"It’s a big achievement [getting to 100]," Blagden said. "You know, if you’ve no family and someone’s good enough to come and be around [and look after] you like that, I’ve had nothing to grumble about really."
