I like the overall parallels in this presentation. I see the "motivation" a bit different for putting on Christ's righteousness (parachute) that my fear of God's wrath. The Bible says it is Christs love that "motivates" us. Fear of hell, or hope of heaven are not sufficient enough motives to give us victory over sin, but God's love as expressed through Calvary is. I don't fear God's wrath, because it was poured out on Calvary. Jesus tasted death for every man and took the punishment for our sins and the sins of the whole world. Those who do not use this period of probation on earth to accept the provisions of salvation disqualify themselves from Heaven because their character is not in harmony with the principles of God's kingdom. But I fear to cling to sin because God destroys it in the end. We need to be careful to not sound like this, "if you don't love God He will destroy you." Rather, we should say, by not responding to God's love, and choosing lawlessness, we will be destroyed or cut-off from eternal life because like a cancer sin needs to be destroyed. Sin is the thing we should fear, because it separates us from God.

Salvation is like parachute; wind is like God's words.

This is a very WEAK parable; more better you stick to Jesus's parables ONLY.

for most of my Christian life, I also thot salvation was safe passage to the other side (the end game) but this is what scripture has to say John 3:15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Jesus came not for our future but for the present and the "parachute" was put on you and since you did not put it on, neither can you remove it.

Analogy is good but not sure if Challenging Gods creation with the "temple of the Holy Spirit" (skydiving)is a good way of describing how to rely on God for our life? Like smoking a cigarette but hoping it doesn't cause cancer because some people don't' die from smoking.
