Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada was incorporated in 1968. As part of Wycliffe International, it works in partnership with approximately 12,000 expatriate and national workers worldwide in the ministries of Bible translation. Wycliffe partners with churches and other mission agencies in their countries to present the Bible translation task to the Christian public in order to mobilize personnel, raise funds and promote prayer.Many Wycliffe members are assigned to SIL International, a partner organization of Wycliffe dedicated to training, language research, translation and literacy. Some 6,400 Wycliffe members serve around the world and hundreds more are preparing for service.
