After a pastor mentioned Chick-fil-A in his sermon, John Crist had a hilarious response. The preacher unexpectedly worked the popular fast-food chain into his message, and the popular comedian had the perfect reaction to it. Pastors in any given year will likely give close to 100 messages, and maybe even more, depending on how frequently a particular church has services. Since that number can reach triple digits, pastors have to find a way to change things up at times. They have to say things that their congregation may not have heard in a while, or at all, depending on how regularly they attend church.

Also, pastors have to keep their messages relevant. To keep people interested and to help them better apply the message to their lives, many pastors incorporate current events into their sermons. Who does it help if a preacher is talking about things that are completely foreign and unknown from our experience? That doesn’t help anyone. At that point, the pastor may as well preach to a brick wall.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a pastor found a completely unexpected way to work Chick-fil-A into his message. What may be the most hilarious part of the pastor’s message is that he basically says a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich is the highest level of status a chicken can reach.

John, who is a pastor’s kid, loved the pastor working Chick-fil-A into the message. He mentioned that he was hyped after hearing the pastor’s passionate words.

“I’m going to Chick-fil-A after this,” John said.

He later added that he imagined the pastor had written down only a bullet point stating “Chick-fil-A,” and that was all he needed. Additionally, he mentioned that the pastor talked like he had a connection to Chick-fil-A.

“This guy either owns one, or he used to work at one,” John said. “Also, like, he’s probably getting a cease and desist.”
