God has given each of us different skills, talents and abilities. He also equips us with dreams that often incorporate and utilizes those God-given capabilities.

One young woman, Megan Danielle, from Douglasville, Georgia, loves music and singing. She wants a career in music. After some helpful advice from her late grandfather, Megan decided to concentrate on singing music to praise and glorify the Lord. 

Megan, hoping to make her dreams a reality, went on American Idol and auditioned in front of Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. Megan’s song of choice was Lauren Daigle’s smash hit “You Say.”

As luck would have it, Lauren was actually in the same city where Megan was auditioning. Lauren decided to drop in about halfway through Megan’s audition and give her the surprise of a lifetime!

Megan, after she was able to regain her composure from the shock of her musical hero randomly appearing, went on to knock her audition out of the park!

All three judges were extremely complementary and impressed with Megan. Katy, Luke and Lionel mentioned that they spotted raw, unpolished potential in her voice.

As a result of her audition, the judges, in unison, told Megan that she was going to Hollywood to continue her American Idol journey.

What a beautiful, real and precious moment! God does have a plan for all of us. Sometimes it’s simply a matter, despite all the nerves and anxiety, stepping out in faith and making that first move. 

As Megan’s audition on the popular television program so beautifully illustrates, you never really know what God has in store. He can make things happen that we never thought possible.
