Singer-Songwriter and worship pastor, Michael Farren recently released his debut solo album “Fighting For Us”. The title track of the same name was birthed out of an emotionally dark time in Michael’s life when he knew he needed to remind himself of God’s truths, sharing “I’ve never needed a song more.”

Michael Farren’s work has been performed by musicians such as Lauren Daigle, Big Daddy Weave and Michael W. Smith. This newly released album focuses on the promises that Michael needed to hear in his own life, and the result is incredibly powerful. As so many believers have found themselves, Michael was struggling to believe God’s promises for his own life. Michael knew he needed to begin speaking Truth over his life and his perspective on writing changed to a time of true, pure worship.

“I wrote this song with my dear sister, Krissy Nordhoff ...I just started playing what I knew my heart needed to hear and that song literally fell out between Krissy and I over 20 minutes… we worshipped that song out, it was just the back and forth of me trying to speak truth over my life, that it didn’t matter if God felt like He was a million miles away that wasn’t the truth…I had to declare truth, and the truth is that He knows me, He sees me and my feelings lie.”

After disappointment and struggle, Michael found himself creating and album that HE needed to hear. What came out of that time of writing is such an incredible anthem for believers who are struggling. God has not forgotten or abandoned us, even in the times when our faith seems broken, God is still fighting for us!
