Just a quick overview for now:
I grew up in Oregon, mostly Coos Bay, Medford and Roseburg. I asked Jesus to come into my heart when I was 6 years old at a Good News Bible Club trailer at my public school for Kindergarten. It was such an exciting experience to feel Jesus immediately come to live in my heart. My parents raised me Christian and then got divorced when I was 12, which sent me into a tailspin of confusion about my purpose in life and who God really was. My dad was taken out of my life at 12 years old and given no parental visitation. (My dad was my best friend and now he was gone)At 16 I re-dedicated my life to God and gave my testimony before a few hundred people on a church stage and then went on a mission trip to Mexico. At 18 I got into a bad relationship with someone who verbally and emotionally abused me and through that I began to ask God to show me what marriage looked like and what did I need to know to be a good wife? I began asking married people how they stayed married and just how did it work. I met Chris(my husband) on the internet in 1997 when I was almost 20 years old. We wrote each other about 1000 letters or more and then we decided to marry. We had our 1st child after a year and a half of being married and it wasn't long before we realized he was significantly delayed and began the process through doctors to try and find out what went wrong but with no diagnosis even 9 years later now. We had a baby girl 5 years after our 1st born who continues to run after life with every ounce of her being. We had another girl a couple of years later who we joyfully added to our now growing family. We just recently gave birth to our little boy who was successfully born to us at home with a water tub :)
I have a passion to learn what Jesus teaches on being a proper wife, why he teaches it, what to expect from doing it the right way and learning to pass it on to my daughters and all who want to learn on how to make their home a blessing through their obedience as a wife :)
Much love to all,
Elicia Gibson
