Little Puppy's Determination to Get on Treadmill is Inspring!

It is heartbreaking to read some of the responses to this video. I am a very prominent member of loving animals & I have seen many, many (too many to list) videos of an abused animal but I'm very confident that this is not one of them. I truly believe that everyone who took the time to even watch this video has a huge heart for animals, but when we go so far to start assuming things & making comments that could truly hurt someone or an organization, then that's sad. The dog on the treadmill does not look distressed, the leash has enough slack for him to get off if he wants to, there is obviously a human standing near since it is being recorded........something that was posted for good & enjoyment, has been turned into something ugly & that's a shame. Google abused animals, this video will not pop up.

I have seem Cesar Millan do this with several dogs that he was rehabbing. Its not like the dog was tied there and left unattended. (the leash is slack in case the dog should leap or slip off) Cesar even sells dog treadmills on his website... and sometimes we wind up with 'hand-me-down dogs that we may not have ideal time, or area for them to get proper exercise; this is just 1 alternative.

whoever screens the videos for this site needs to think a little more clearly before sharing some of these.

Someone needs to find out why he has that dog on a treadmill and why so many dogs are there.

I agree this is not right if you don't have time for your dog for a walk DON'T get one.It is wrong to tie this dog so he can't get off.

So this couldn't be some kind of rehab program? That was the conclusion I jumped to. How did you come to yours? I could be wrong. I don't think there's enough video here to say who's right. Maybe we both missed.

I disagree. I think it's great the owners found a way to let the dog get some exercise when they can't walk him. The dog certainly does not appear to be distressed!

Absolutely APPALLING.. I am a very prominent member of "The Human Society Of America" and this video by......" iluvanimals ".......will be exposed for their lack of concern for the large dog, tied by his leash to the treadmill......simply for his own gain.....

I know they do therapy for dogs on treadmills & with all the other dogs in the video, that's what it looks like is happening and there is obviously someone there monitoring him so I don't think he's being abused in any way. I have a german shepherd that loves to walk on my treadmill & when the weather is horrible, he will walk on it while I'm on my eliptical. The dog that's actually doing the walking looks like he's enjoying it too :)

That's cruel to MAKE the dog walk - he can't get away - he's tethered. That's not cute. If he needs exercise, then walk him, but he has to walk or he'll fall and be scraped. I don't like this. :-(

So cute! He never gives up.

But, he never got up there! Too bad! That was great, reminded me of my first experience with the treadmill.
