Kurt Russell Stars As Santa in The Christmas Chronicles (Official Trailer)
When Mom has to work on Christmas Eve, siblings Teddy and Kate are left at home together. These two aren’t particularly excited to spend the holiday in each other’s company. Kate still believes in Santa Claus but older brother Teddy has lost his belief. Naturally, they are both in for a big surprise!
The two kids hatch a plan to capture Santa delivering toys on a hidden camera, but instead find themselves sneaking into his sleigh and incidentally derailing Christmas. The real adventure begins mid-flight as the duo startle the man in the red suit, causing the sleigh to crash and reindeer and toys to scatter. Now they must team up to… save Christmas! But this Santa isn’t your usual jolly St. Nick.
“I don’t go Ho,Ho,Ho. That’s a myth.”
Of course, not everything about this Santa is unexpected. Clearly, he understands the importance of delivering his yearly packages but more importantly, he sees the importance of Christmas for families.
“People need Christmas to remind themselves of how good they can be!”
The big draw for movie viewers will be to see Russell’s very non-traditional, and almost rebellious portrayal of Mr. Claus. Look for many comedic side-notes , some unfamiliar and familiar faces as well as a heavy dose of Christmas spirit. “Let’s get this party started!” Santa (Russell) fittingly exclaims.
This Netflix-original film “The Christmas Chronicles” will be available November 22, right in the comfort of your own home.
