Little Girl Sheds Tears of Joy Meeting Her Baby Sister

A precious little girl became emotional and shed tears of joy when meeting her baby sister.

Life is all about relationships and making those human connections. Of course, not all relationships are equal, with some holding much more importance than others. A spouse is a much closer, more important relationship than a high school or college friendship. Also, some relationships will last for a while and eventually cease to exist as people come in and out of our lives.

However, only a handful of relationships are sure to endure and last throughout our lives: the ones with our spouse, those with our mother and father and the ones we have with our siblings. All those relationships are special in their own way, particularly the bonds between brothers and sisters.

Siblings are people who, generally speaking, have gone through the same experiences as us as children. There is typically a deep familiarity and camaraderie between siblings, which will last the rest of our lives in some form.

A clip posted on social media shows how one young lady responded after she laid eyes on her baby sister. Immediately upon seeing the tiny human, her sister, the little girl was overcome with emotion. She got choked up, with her eyes welling up with tears. She was unable to say anything. Her one, only and immediate response was to cry.

The sweet clip ends with the young woman holding her baby sister. She has a smile from ear to ear as she looks down at the tiny human in her arms.

Whatever those two little girls may go through, whatever disagreements they may have in life, their mother and father will always remember that sweet moment of their first meeting. That special connection and bond between the two sisters will last for the rest of their lives.

A Prayer for Overcoming Doubt with Divine Assurance - Your Daily Prayer - September 19

One morning, in my study of 1 Thessalonians, I read these words from Paul in 5:1-11, lingering over our key verse, “But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.” As he often does, Paul reminds believers that they are soldiers in God’s army and must prepare and protect themselves for battle.
