'Jesus And You' The Voice Winner Todd Tilghman Official Music Video
“A song about why I do the things I do!” writes Todd in the caption of the music video on his YouTube page. “Written by Gordon Mote, Phil O'Donnell and me. Filmed in my beautiful hometown, Meridian, Mississippi.”
Todd Tilghman was the Season 18 winner on The Voice, and this new song of his shows the importance of his faith and his family. It is upbeat and high energy, and it is one that will make you want to listen to it over and over again!
Todd is a former pastor, husband, and father of eight. He is from Meridian, Mississippi, and that is where he lived with his family until he left his job as the pastor of a church there to move to Tennessee after winning The Voice to focus on music.
“‘Jesus and You’ is actually a song — it’s really about why I do the things I do,” Todd shares in an interview. “But it’s also about the things that play the most pivotal roles. So of course it’s Jesus, and of course it’s my family, but one of the major things that made me who I am is my hometown, Meridian, Mississippi, where I lived. So I hope that you see that Meridian is not only a backdrop, but also a really pivotal character. Meridian is just as big a part of making me who I am as almost anything else.”
Many of Todd’s fans are loving this new song of his and sharing their thoughts about it online. “Wow! I love this song! Your love for Jesus, your wife, and family is totally awesome and shines with this song,” writes one person on YouTube after watching the music video.
“I love this song so much! Now seeing the video just makes my heart full! Keep the great music coming!” comments another person online.
