Suzzette Michaels

God has a plan for each of us. We all have a purpose - to love God and to love people. We are to glorify God in all that we do as we represent Jesus Christ in our world. We all have God given gifts that we are called to use toward the fulfilment of our purpose.

Growing up in rural Alabama, Suzzette’s gift of vocal ability became apparent early on. As a young girl it brought her to Nashville where she pursued a career in country music. Within a few years, with Paul Overstreet as her producer, Suzzette signed with Warner Brothers Records. Her desire was to perform music that brought a positive message to her listeners; a difficult feat in the competitive world of country music. Although Suzzette’s years pursing secular music were challenging, she looks back on that season of her life and sees God’s hand at work. It was a time of education and growth that would equip her for the next chapter of her life. It was a time of prioritizing. It was a time of aligning her walk with God’s will.

Heeding God’s call, Suzzette was soon making plans for her first Gospel album, God Is Good. This was the beginning of a ministry which has now spanned twenty-five years. In addition to her music, Suzzette began writing as another means of telling God’s story. And in more recent years Suzzette has developed another of her artistic outlets… oil painting. What began as a hobby soon became a passion, and once again she felt God’s hand guiding her talent. Suzzette now incorporates her artwork into her ministry, painting scenes that communicate God’s love and grace.

Suzzette recently released her fifth studio album, All Is Well, which she feels this is her best project to date as she has continued to mature as a songwriter, an artist, and in her Christian walk.

Today Suzzette lives outside of Nashville with her husband, Mike, and dog, Sugar. She takes her ministry on the road when called, performing concerts at churches and other venues.
