Shy but chatty with friends. Lost both parents by teen years. Started drinking to help with shyness but it soon became a 'crutch' which led to brief (praise God!) drug use. Been clean and sober for 17 years. Also engaged in other self-destructive behaviors (eating disorders and self-harm.) A dear friend led me to the Lord 16 years ago and my life has never been the same. :-)
