Most people enjoy thinking about the future. What will I do after work? Do I have enough time for this or that? What will I eat for dinner? Do I need to swing by the grocery store on my way home? Those are just some of the questions people typically ask themselves when it comes to the future. Sure, those may not be the loftiest or career-focused thoughts in the world, but they are thoughts about the future.

While you and I may often think about the immediate future, we also regularly ponder and consider long-term goals we hope to accomplish. However, no group of people likely thinks about the future more than children. This is especially true when it comes to deciding upon their desired occupation or career. Every little one seems to have an answer regarding what they want to be when they grow up.

A clip posted on YouTube shows several children announcing what they hope to be when they become adults. Some are realistic, while others are not, but they are all absolutely hilarious.

The video begins with what is likely the sweetest answer possible. A little boy says he wants to be a father when he gets older. The entire room can be heard saying, “aww!” Similarly, a little girl says she wants to be pregnant when she gets older.

One youngster wants to work at a gas station, while another wants to be employed at McDonald’s. Another child states that her career goal is to be a member of the Spice Girls. But the most surprising response is that one young woman hopes to become a “professional turkey hunter.”
