The old saying goes "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." This proverb takes on a new meaning for those of us who find strength in our faith. While physical injuries may heal, cruel words and hate can leave emotional wounds. However, with Jesus Christ as our guide, we believers feel a deeper sense of security. Our faith becomes a shield, deflecting the barbs of wickedness and offering solace in the knowledge of God's love.
