TobyMac Inspires Thousands in Charlottesville with Dynamic Worship and Hit-Filled Set

TobyMac, along with two other Christian music giants MercyMe and Matthew West, stopped at University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville on October 4, 2025 on the next to last day of their 8-city tour. Check out this slideshow and review by Annette Holloway Photography.

The veteran singer/songwriter took the audience on a journey of intimate storytelling, corporate worship and high-energy celebration. Through songs like “Faithfully”, “Move (keep Walkin’)” and “Help Is On the Way (Maybe Midnight)” thousands of fans simultaneously recognized their own struggles, connected with the lyrics, and found encouragement in the chaos of life. Through the struggles, there needs to be hope in and celebration of the goodness of God like what is conveyed in “Feel It,” “Nothin’ Sweeter,” and “The Goodness.”

This 7X-Grammy Award-winning artist moves between high-energy celebration and moments of quiet reflection demonstrating his mastery of live performance and an understanding of what audiences might need to draw them closer to the Savior. The evening served as a reminder of the power of Christian music to unite, inspire, and transform.
