Church doesn’t need to be boring or irrelevant. That idea is behind LifeChurch of Morris--a new and different concept in connecting with God and others. Transformational Bible-based teaching messages and lively worship are delivered using state-of-the-art multimedia, connecting thousands of people in other locations around the country.
“The emphasis is on powerful worship and a meaningful message filled with Bible scripture and practical application,†says Shaun L. Ettinger, founder of KNOW Ministries and pastor of the newly formed LifeChurch of Morris.
Church should be relevant to everyday life, Ettinger says. “All of us are trying to play with the cards we’ve been dealt. We’re asking the same questions, searching for the same answers, struggling with the same issues. We live in the community and deal with the same problems. We’re concerned about our futures and our finances, our families and friends. We need help in applying the Bible to those everyday situations.â€
Ettinger says he realizes that some people have been turned off by traditional religion and distracted by other activities. “People could do a thousand other things on a Sunday morning. But through LifeChurch.tv Network, we’ve found a group of people who are willing to be real with us, walk with us, and support us. Their church experience is anything but boring.â€
Worship at LifeChurch of Morris is contemporary, uplifting and Holy Spirit filled. The style is consistent with today’s culture. Messages are delivered by video or satellite from LifeChurch.tv Network Senior Pastor Craig Groeschel or another team teaching pastor.
Ettinger continues, “People who haven't attended church or for some reason have quit going to church are often amazed at how significant these messages are. In fact, the messages are specially designed for those checking out what it really means to have a personal relationship with Christ. But here's a secret: Even long-time Christians find the messages helpful to their spiritual and personal growth.â€
The LifeChurch of Morris experience will begin on Sunday morning, Nov. 16, at 9:30 a.m. at the new Holiday Inn Express at 222 Gore Road in Morris. For more information, call 815-318-5469 or visit http://www.LifeChurchMorris.org.
