A sinner, who could do nothing of worth. Who could only kill and destroy---even with his best deeds. One who deserved death only as a return for all he'd done. "S%@#" epitomized him.
Yet, there was One who still Loved me. The very one who I sinned against who had full right and every reason to destroy me. The same one took His Son, the Christ--- a perfect reflection of Him in all His glory--- and crushed Him. He poured down that cup of His holy wrath down on His son, and he took every drop.
That cup was mine to drink, but Love. Love stepped in and paid the price for this worthless sinner. Love. His name is Jesus.
This is why I live for His glory, because indeed he is worthy of it. But with that said, He would have been just if he had destroyed me instead... He still would have been just as much loving, kind, benevolent, graceful and merciful. So, why did He do it? Because God IS Love, and to demonstrate His glory!
