I’m Richard Andrews — a 78‑year‑old former teacher, lifelong believer, and long‑time encourager of the brethren who’s still carrying a flame within that refuses to go out.

My roots in the Faith run deep.

After college, I worked as a staff DJ for WDJC Total Christian Radio and was often invited to speak at youth retreats and church events sponsored by Baptist and Methodist congregations. I also contributed vocally to televised and live evangelical events orchestrated by local evangelical ministry. Over the years that followed, I devoted myself to teaching high school students — a calling I’ve always considered to be a challenging and rewarding ministry in its own right.

Today, as time to go home nears, I continue. Nearly two years ago, I underwent open‑heart surgery. The challenging recovery unleashed something in me — a familiar spark I thought had long ago dimmed. Out of that came a new creative chapter for me because, today, as a formerly avid writer of poetic verse, I’m now composing musical 'poetry', that is, lyrics for original Christian songs which are, oftentimes, built around spoken word narratives blended into fresh new hybrid sounds when combined, through state-of-the-art technology, with instruments, voices, and orchestrations and into fresh new sounds for believers everywhere.

Dear fellow Christian, if anything I share here - whether in spoken-word narrative form or in outright song - touches your heart in some special way or encourages you in your Christian life experience somehow, please consider sharing your experience with me. And know I’d be most honored to have you join me on my journey as a faithful prayer/warrior and fellow believer in service to our beloved Lord, Savior, and King, Christ Jesus.
