Singer-Songwriter, Lauren, uses the nickname given her by her friends, âSunshineâ. For anyone meeting her for the first time, Sunshine, is indeed the perfect name as her personality does seem to always be pleasant, bright and cheery- like Sunshine. Lauren smiles when called Sunshine but identifies with her nick name for other, more profound reasons, which reflect back to her ever-present faith. Itâs this promise of forgiveness and spiritual redemption that serves as the cornerstone of her optimistic and celebratory life perspective and allows her to âshineâ on everyone who meets her!
A gifted songwriter, singer and musician, SunshineRenâs lyrics are always refreshingly uplifting as she seems to interpret life and its complications in only the most positive of terms. Known for her clever use of language as a songwriter, particularly her appealing and contagious chorus lines, despite her training in Flute, Piano and Percussions she prefers to interpret her music through the acoustical sounds of her favorite instrument, the guitar.
Music is and has always been a special language for SunshineRen as she feels sheâs better able to communicate a positive and encouraging twist on life- something she thinks of as a personal mission- as she performs for so many different types of people who are thirsting to see the positives in a negative world.
An accomplished yet insightful person, SunshineRen is also a teacher of young people, having graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and has a special interest in sign language. Watching SunshineRen teach bright eyed young children their lessons using the guitar and sign language reminds even the casual observer of the nutritive warmth of natural sunlight!
Wood Tone Recordings is proud to present the inspirations of singer song writer artist SunshineRen in her first EP entitled âRescuedâ, featuring her new single by that name; the rhythmic nouveaux Flamenco style sing along âFor Youâ, and her personal and stylish worship commitment when she asked the biblical question âWhat if I didnât sing Your Praise? Would the Rocks cry out???... in her poetic query of her original song âTodayâ.
