Jacques Lilavois

I lead worship at Newheart Foursquare in Altadena, CA (in Los Angeles County), play guitar, bass, sing and a little drums. Me and my wife Kristi just had our first baby girl, Selah Valentine Lilavois, on 2-2-08!
I believe in writing songs to make an impact, not just for the sake of writing songs. I believe in writing songs that are unique, thought provoking and that come from the "inside out" (finding your own voice, words, melodies, ideas that come from real life experience) rather than the "outside in" (by recycling words and ideas you've heard from someone else). I think worship and Christian music should be written and played well and given only our absolute best, never simply settling for "good enough". Music is the most widely accepted form of communication, we have to use it wisely.
