And I hope you won't delete my comments just because I don't share the same views as other people here. I am a Christian and I have enough prejudice from other Christians. I'm just expressing , honestly , what I see here. I did not say , it is wrong. I just say the "magic" part is please consider this comment as healthy discussion.

I am a Christian , but I still reject false symbolisms such as "deck of cards" that connote sorcery. It's such a great thing that this video touches a lot of people and somehow strengthens their relationship with God. But as for me, I cannot just fathom symbolism from a magician's deck of cards to be strengthening and inspiring my walk with God.

I'm very bothered about the "magic " part. God never never tolerate any form of sorcery such as magic. Plus the story emphasizes on associating the "cards" as his life representing his faith in Christ. Even with all those symbols and associations this guy cited, these are not enough to impart knowledge and to be reminded about our daily walk with God. Yes we are reminded by facts, the Bible's Old and New testaments, the number of days God created the universe, days and weeks of a year, etc....these are all just symbols that connote nothing of strengthening our faith in Jesus Christ. Plus the "magician" part is still disturbing.

I remember Wink Martindale did a version of this around 1959. The song hasn't really changed. War doesn't change. The message of Christ won't change.

You never call a sergeant "sir" ever. You call officers "sir". Call an NCO "sir" and he will bark at you "I'M not a SIR...I WORK for a LIVING!"

This is very touching. It is moving. God loves us and wants us to be in Heaven with him. Jesus gave his life for us so that we can be. Jesus blood washes our sins away. Please accept God and Jesus into your hearts and live for God and let Heaven be your home eternal. God bless.

Hey George. Wink Martindale had a hit with this in 1959. Great and very poignant song.
