It is touching, but dogs do act like this. I guess the best known is probably Greyfriars Bobby, in Edinburgh. This family deserves all our prayers.

This is so touching, I am 61 years old, and in my life time, I've heard of dogs, (mostly) doing this, if their owner dies in the house, the dog lays down by the bed, or if in a chair the dog's at their owners feet. I've always heard that, or saw it in a movie, but this year looking at this video and hearing it on the News, I believe it now to be true. As much as I've always knew that dog is man's best friend, and so loyal, we all know (those of us who believe in God) knows He's our best Friend, but isn't it a coincidence; that dog is spelled g-o-d, backwards? (as if Adam knew, dog would be man's best friend. <3

Thank you for this wonderful story of love and loyalty of our Militay Families. You see, when a man or woman takes that honerable oath, it not only applies to them BUT to ALL of their family including their pets. Each and every one deserve our respect and gratitude for their honorable act of service in protecting our country AND standing in the "rear" at home trying to maintain a sense of normalicy until they return. Your family are in my prayers including Hawkeye as he grieves the loss of his master and friend. God Bless each and every one of you.

How our hearts grieve over the deaths of this courageous seals! It's so amazing how such a dog felt such love and commitment to his master, Jon! Having a son and daughter who deeply love their pets - son had a chocolate lab for @ 12 yrs.; they both were so devoted. Prayers continue for the familes of our servicemen!
