What's Your Purpose?

To know Him and through our relationship with Him, we find our destiny.

David, the answer is discipleship with accountability from a loving and trusted mentor. You are like a baby that was born and left to care for himself. I would be in your situation had I not been discipled 35 years ago by a young, dedicated and strong Christian woman. I grew spiritually and now I am a mentor. I still want a mentor. We all need good Christian fellowship to help us grow in Christ and become transformed into His image. God doesn't want us to be defeated, but He wants us to grow up into all aspects of Himself. Ask God to lead you to someone like that, to a church that is more about relationships and overcoming in this life. Too much of the body of Christ makes excuses for their sinfulness, but we all need to be making that effort to know Him and become more like Him within the family of God>His church. Sermons are great. Books are great. The Bible is awesome. However, we need each other and that is what I believe you need. He can help you. Be patient and as faithful as possible. You are destined to overcome. Now you must embark on that journey. Hope that helps you. Bless you

Paul says in Romans 7:15, " I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do." Everyone sins and makes mistakes, but the difference between those striving to live like Christ and those living in darkness is the fact that those pursuing God, repent and God has new mercies for them everyday. No mistake is too big for God. If one cannot overcome certain sins, pray about it and read God's Word. We can talk with the God of the Universe and He will listen to us!! That is pure awesomeness!!

I know what you mean. I feel this way all the time, and all it does is bring me down making serving Jesus just an act of religion, not out of my love for Him. Read this attachment. It really opened my eyes the way God intended them to be! http://theresurgence.com/2012/01/18/the-difference-between-religion-and-the-gospel

As human, we can't live without sins. Same as with Moses, David. It happens to me all the time too. But they realized and ask for God's forgiveness, and God still gives His grace to us through His forgiveness everytime we confess our sins. I think that's more important, that we look back to Jesus because He always look at us what ever we did. God makes us grow stronger through everything. To be good takes process. Process takes times. Just surrender to God. I don't know how to explain "the standart". I just know all the things we need we can find in God's Word through Bible. I hope I can help you with this.

Again, I find every question I ask, repeated in this video. But again I don't find the answer. I'm a Christian. I accepted Jesus into my life. I daily choose to try and live righteously. However, I keep finding failure. I sin, and I hate it. But I can't find an answer to how to stop it. I can find ten million or more videos that share about other who feel the same way, and they give a big neon sign that points to Jesus, but then what! Taking just Matthew 5 (The Sermon on the Mount), and trying to apply THOSE concepts into my life is nearly impossible! Despite my best efforts, as ten thousand other videos will agree, IT JUST ISN'T ENOUGH! I can give and give and give, sacrifice, tithe, praise, pray, and love, but I constantly see the flaws of myself. I constantly stumble and fall to sin. Why hasn't this stumbling block been removed? I trip over it, get up, walk, and it runs ahead of me only for me to trip again. Rinse, wash, repeat. I just want to be good! But I can't find how to do that anywhere! I can find the standard for the test, but every time I am graded, I fail! I am sitting in step 2, and I see step 10, but where are the other steps!

when things may seem to be going good for us, we forget god, but he never forgets us, the fact that he as created us. how can one forget what one as created?

Praise be to the God that makes us new, and gives purpose. Without my Lord, I have NO reason to live or thrive.

GOD reminds us to treat others well as he treats us well and we do not deserve this.
