Christianity.com: Are Mormons Christian? -Chad Miller

Mormon doctrine states that God the Father (Heavenly Father), Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) are three separate gods; that God the Father was once a man who, with his wife, created Jesus; and that Jesus was a man who became a god. There are other heretical fallacies in their doctrine, but these alone attest to the fact that the Mormon (LDS) church (religion) is not a Christian denomination, but a separate religion from Christianity. Since Mormons worship a FALSE christ, they are NOT Christian. However, let us love them as we do all who do not know the real Christ, but let us not be fooled. Like Jesus asked Peter, "Who do YOU say that I am?"

Niceness, politeness, sincerity, zeal for advertisement, wishful thinking, partial automatic memorization of the Scriptures - all of them do not work in facing the eternal Truth of the Word of God. Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and all other cults proved it to us. God wants us to believe what He revealed to us in His Word, never the things we imagine or wish. Teachings of cults contradict with God's Word in essential parts in the crucial major Christian doctrines. Those who cling to lies are responsible for their own personal inclinations. Real Christians study the Holy Bible and strive to find what God, the Author, intends to say, never choose to be brainwashed by falsehood no matter how the errors sound sweet to ears. Existence of cults tell us that spiritual battles are serious and that sound Biblical doctrines must be studied with utmost diligence. Laziness does not belong to Christianity.
