The dog was being monitored....gosh Julie Jolley why couldn't you see that? And sometimes when I stare at my face I see how bad I have been....NOT what your posts says.

"SO VERY TIRED"....OF NEGATIVE COMMENTS. I AM NOT ONLY A FULL TIME CAREGIVER FOR MY 90 YR OLD MOTHER, BUT I ALSO VOLUNTEER AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE FOR THE SAFE RESCUE OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED PIT BULLS. THE THINGS I HAVE WIDNESSED "PERSONNALLY" ARE UNSPEAKABLE....MOST OF THESE DOGS HAVE TO BE "PUT DOWN" DUE TO FIGHTING....AND THEIR LACK OF SOCIALLIZATION. NO ONE CAN PASS JUDGEMENT ON MY COMMENTS...UNLESS THEY HAVE WALKED IN MY SHOES...!!

Loved loved loved this video!!I"m a pit bull owner and I love my baby...Julie, you obviously haven't owned a Pit Bull- If you had, you would not be making these comments. Pit bulls are head strong, and full of energy and they ENJOY physical activities. If they are not physically stimulated, they will find a way to direct that energy and it usually won't be in a positive way...example, digging holes in the back yard, chewing on things that they shouldn't chew on, etc. My pit bull's tongue hangs out after walking him for less than 5 minutes in nice cool weather-because everything thing that this breed does, they use all their energy doing it...very intense breed. If I left my UN EXERCISED Pit bull with you for a few days I am certain you would retract your statement.lol. I was advised by a pit bull rescue that when a pit bull is properly balanced with exercise he is much more trainable. This very same rescue advised me to use a pinch collar for walking my dog...A pit bull is A WHOLE DIFFERENT breed of dog...almost a beast so you cannot view or treat him/her the same as you would a less energy/ less stubborn dog. They are called bully breeds for a reason. The best way I can compare a pit bull that hasn't been exercised is to see an extreme case of a child with adhd that has nothing to do. This video shows a responsible owner exercising his pit bull as he ought to. whats the difference in you using a leash to walk a dog...the treadmill is doing the same thing and I'm sure for whatever reason the owner wasn't able to walk them at the moment. Any vet will tell you the same about this breed and even doctors will give the same advice about the imortance to keep a high energy child exercised.

I agree totally Sue. Pit bulls are high energy (I am an avid fan of Dog whisperer). Most of us humans can't walk the amount our dogs need for daily exercise. Prominent member of human society aside - common sense didn't appear to come with that title.

If you go to the website that is at the startup of the video, you might discover it is a rescue or rehab facility, since their address ends in .org .

Julie Jolley It is said, "It is better to remain silent and considered a fool, than to speak and remove all the doubt."

  • 2013-02-06T00:21:30

I BEG TO DIFFER...!! I SEE A DOG TIED TO A MOVING TREADMILL ,WITH HIS TONGUE HANGING TO THE GROUND....PERHAPS HE COULD BE THIRSTY....???

  • 2013-02-03T03:13:17

I think u are dead wrong Ryeness, its not going to hurt any dog to run on a treadmill, u can ask any vet-Dr and see what they say.

However, awesome way to do therapy on a dog. His back right leg looks stiff. Bet this loosens him up and gets his nervous system working so he doesn't become depressed from laying around with a stiff leg. If anything that dog's the inspiring one haha! :)

  • 2013-02-03T02:55:49

I thought he was going to make it! Was disappointed when he didn't! His determination never ever paid off, how's that inspiring? lol

I disagree as well. What in this video constitutes a lack of concern? I see a dog walking at a leisurely pace, in the presence of a human. You should be more concerned about people who don't exercise their dogs in any way. And by the way, I believe it's the Humane Society, not the Human Society.
