Oh, and how about if the guy has kids he left behind, and what if they or their friends see this video, and you sure can't say that that is not possible, so do their feelings not count? By the way, I do know what I'm talking about!

Yes, I'm sure it was but how much more so being filmed and exposed doing it?

Such a sweet thing to do we should all help as much as we can, but I got dizzy watching it!

So the fact that he filmed himself do something that others do all the time makes him such a good person. The Bible says that you get your reward either here on Earth or in Heaven, not both. So he got his reward for his "generosity".

IT MAKES GOOD SENSE ! WHY DO WE AS A PEOPLE LOOK FOR THE WRONGS IN A PERSON ? WHERE IS OUR CHRISTIAN COMPASSION AND EMPATHY . LIKE KATIE SAID, THE MAN DID NOT SHOW HIMSELF AT ALL . THE VIDEO WAS A LITTLE " UNEVEN AND BOUNCY" BUT THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE HAS A CAMERA ATTACHED TO HIS RIDING HELMET . GOD BLESS THE MAN WHO DID THE GOOD DEED AND MAY GOD BLESS HIM AND THE HOMELESS FELLOW IN THE VIDEO.!!!

don't be sorry for helping people, I do it 3 time a week. and who care if it was on tape.

Friends I've not yet met... perhaps his helmet cam filmed it, showed it to a loved one and THEY posted it. Maybe he shared it himself... Let us not judge his motives, but be inspired by his compassion. Like most, he did not just walk by. He did not judge this person or put conditions on his gift. I have a homeless brother and am saddened by how many people treat him like he is invisible, and act as if he is not worthy of even making eye contact with. They do not know his story. I for one am inspired and will be more intentional at finding opportunities to pay it forward. <><

Katie Cole he's getting his credit now with all of us watching him. this is bogus

Alice Swartz why did he post it on the internet? The scriptures also says not to let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. The scriptures also say that whatsoever a person does in secret that God will reward them openly. The scriptures also say that the pharasees prayed and did their good deeds openly so that everyone could see and hear, therefore, they had already recieved their reward. I just hope he didn't shame this man, he could have helped him without drawing all the attention.

It's still humiliating to be taped like that not knowing who may see the tape. It may just find it's way onto the internet where people back home may see how far he has fallen... Oh, that's right, it did!

Another poster said it even better. Ann Hardy Aschauer posted: "The verse about not doing good deeds to be seen by men is in the Sermon on the Mount. (Matthew 5-7) So is the verse that says 'Let your light shine before men so that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.' This is not a contradiction. The difference is in WHY we let others see what we do, whether it's to glorify ourselves or Him. God alone knows the motives of this man. The rest of us need to concentrate on making sure our own motives are pure."

Betty Davis, the man was a cyclist wearing a helmet cam. Cyclists use them for protection, to record when motorists cut them off in traffic, etc. He did not show his own face nor say his own name. He was not glorifying himself, but showing others how very simple it is for us to share the love of Christ to our fellow man.

By all means we should be helping others when we see them in need, but, I really have a problem of him video taping his "good deed".

The video is pretty bad but glad this person was wiling to feed them instead.

Eric, in response to your comment, I'm just going to paste someone else's comment here because I cannot say it better: "Ann Hardy Aschauer · Works at Author/Speaker The verse about not doing good deeds to be seen by men is in the Sermon on the Mount. Absolutely right! Pull the log out of my own eyes first! Thank you, Ann Hardy Aschauer.
