Saw it in the news, with the praises to the creator totally removed (audio), thought-- great effort. Saw it the second time around here, with audio and that amazing backdrop to go with it, I didn't even see the guy... I saw the wonder of my Saviour.

My first reaction was...what a fruitcake! The best thing was...he did survive and give praise to Yeshu'ah! I have my reservations about such things...did the Lord really tell him to do it?

I agree with Maria. This is not a one time act. His whole family have been doing this type of work for a living for generations. This was his calling noone else's. We can't judge him and based upon what he was saying about the Lord it's clear that he has a strong relationship with Christ. You can bet that his wife was also trusting completely in God and praying her heart out! By doing the remarkable and giving glory to God the world has to take note! Let's not judge him but root him on as a fellow believer in Christ!!

David slew Goliath, Jacob wrestled with God... Jonah was swallowed by the whale... Moses parted the Red Sea. What about any of those things seems safe or smart? Jesus would have walked on water, calmed the storm, healed the dead.... God's word gives us so many examples of extreme action, and victory for God and his people. Think of the apostles and hundreds of thousands of martyr's who did not do the safe thing, and stood by their faith and thus paid the ultimate sacrifice. I believe that in this day and age what Nik Wallenda did was one of the most courageous ways to reach millions of people at one time. People are focused and glued to their TV's. And every few seconds you hear this mans faith on display. Giving glory and praise to God, calling on God to give him peace, calm the winds. Someone who truly believes that through Christ all things are possible. I believe we cannot merely be meek followers of Christ. We must be bold. This is a message to myself as much as anyone else reading. Romans 12:6-8 ESV Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Maria Van Horn Neugebauer You basically quoted Psalm 127:1. Include God in everything you do. Thank you for your words of knowledge through the Lord our God. He is AWESOME

Great performance for the glory of Lord Jesus. But don't do it again. If you do, you will be violating God's command "Do not put the Lord your God to the test" Matthew 4:7. The praises you have received will tempt you to do it again Ernest Chandrasekaran.

Was Jesus putting God to the test when He walked on the water. He said we would do the things He did and greater. Why do we limit the ways God can use people for His glory?
