John Krasinski Says His Kids Don’t Believe He’s an Actor—And the Reason Is Hilarious
John Krasinski says his kids don’t believe he’s an actor, and the reason is hilarious. The “Office” star shared a hysterical story that perfectly illustrates why his children have difficulty seeing their father as an actor. Check out the short but laugh-out-loud video to hear why John’s children don’t think their dad is the acting type.
“The Office” is easily one of the most beloved television sitcoms of all time. It’s a show that can be watched multiple times, and the jokes will never get old and tired. It’s so quotable and can keep you laughing long after an episode ends. Also, Michael Scott, as the boss who desperately wants to be best friends with his co-workers, is arguably the best television character ever.
In addition to Michael, one of the main characters was Jim, played by John Krasinski. “The Office” was a springboard for John, who has gone on to star in movies and television shows. That show was big for his career, but as John says, “The Office” has hilariously caused some problems and confusion for his kids.
In a clip posted on YouTube, John explains to Stephen Colbert why his children do not think he is an actor. It all has to do with his time on “The Office.” His kids have no issue believing their mother and John’s wife, Emily Blunt, is an actress. They’ve seen her in the most recent “Mary Poppins” movie.
“Well, Emily had a head start by being in Mary Poppins,” he said. “My kids thought she had married me out of charity. They’re like, ‘You’re so nice to marry an accountant. Like that’s so nice of you.’ ‘Cause they don’t know what I do.”
Later in the clip, he explains an interaction that explains why his children are a little confused as to what their father does.
“I was walking them to school one day, and this guy came up, and he was very nice,” John said. “And he came up, and he went, ‘John from “The Office!” And I went, ‘Yeah,’” and he goes, ‘Oh my God, it’s so good to see you!’ And I said, ‘Thanks!,” and we kept walking. And she said, ‘So, do you work with him?’ And I went, ‘No.’ And she goes, ‘Why are you lying to me?’ And I said, ‘I’m not lying to you.’ And she goes, ‘He just said he knows you from “The Office.”
Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
