‘How Great Thou Art’ Hymn Cover Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Hillary Scott And TAYA
A handful of some of the biggest names in Christian music joined forces and turned in a delightful and moving performance of a beloved hymn, “How Great Thou Art.”
Hymns are beautifully written pieces of music that so accurately express a wonderful and magnificent aspect of Christ’s love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. Sure, many of the hymns may be hundreds of years old in some cases, but their messages are timeless. Tastes in music may change, but God does not. He is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow.
God displayed His mighty and awe-inspiring love for us - a bunch of sinners - when He sent his one and only Son to Earth. Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross, enduring a painful, agonizing and wholly undeserved death on our behalf. He suffered and died for you and me.
Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, there is the forgiveness of sins and salvation. We did nothing to deserve such a gift and sacrifice. How great is His love for us!
In a clip posted on YouTube, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, TAYA and others sing the classic hymn “How Great Thou Art.”
“Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art”
That is a song, no matter how many times you hear it, it will always cause an emotional reaction. The lyrics and the message mean so much to so many. To think that God, the Creator of the universe, cared enough for you and me to send His Son to die and take our place is humbling. It's enough to move even the most stoic person to tears.
God is love, and He demonstrated this when He sent His Son to die for us when we were still living in sin. Praise His name!
Romans 5:8 “But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.”
