AGT Favorite Kodi Lee Gets Standing Ovation For Stunning ‘Change’ Performance
One of the most beloved America’s Got Talent contestants, Kodi Lee, returned to the show and had everyone in the auditorium on their feet, applauding his magnificent performance.
Talent and awe-inspiring ability can come from people and places where we least expect it. All most individuals are looking for is an opportunity to show their God-given gifts, which is what programs such as American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent do. Those shows have introduced America to people like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Kodi Lee.
Kodi Lee is an immensely talented young man who is blind and has autism. But he has not let those disabilities keep him from showing the world his stunning musical abilities. His outstanding voice and agile fingers on the piano helped him win season 14 of America’s Got Talent.
Now, in a clip posted on YouTube, Kodi returned to the America’s Got Talent stage for AGT: Fantasy League 2024. But instead of knocking a cover out of the park, the young man went a decidedly different route. He performed an original song of his: “Change.”
Simply put, Kodi’s tune and performance are fantastic. From the get-go, this performance is much different than anything Kodi has done on the AGT stage. Instead of the slower ballads that audiences are accustomed to hearing Kodi play, “Change” is a rollicking, upbeat and catchy tune.
Due to the melody, fast-paced tempo and Kodi’s lovely vocal delivery, you’ll likely find yourself tapping a toe or shaking an entire foot along to the young’s performance.
By the end of Kodi’s performance, the entire auditorium is on their feet, enthusiastically showing the young man their appreciation. The studio audience and all four judges adored Kodi’s performance. Simon, in particular, showered the young man with praise.
“You know, Kodi, you continually surprise us in a positive way,” Simon said. “For you to come back and write a song and perform a song, which sounds current and relevant, and you performed it with such passion, it shows what a great, great, great artist and person you are.”
Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us make songs to the Lord; sending up glad voices to the Rock of our salvation.”
