‘Christian Chris Stapleton’ Leads The Judges In Worship During American Idol Audition

A man who looks and sounds very similar to a hugely talented and beloved artist may be in for massive success on American Idol.

Chris Stapleton is one of the biggest names in music today. Chris, with his distinct, powerful voice and beautifully written lyrics, has experienced widespread success with hits such as “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Broken Halos.” However, one young man, who has been deemed the “Christian Chris Stapleton,” has a “top 10” voice, according to Lionel Richie.

Warren Peay, a 23-year-old South Carolina native, treated Lionel, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan to a soulful, heartfelt performance of Zach Williams’ “To the Table.” Warren, with long blonde locks, a thick beard and guitar in hand, wowed the judges with his God-given talent as he sang about the Lord calling sinners to bring their failures and shame to Him.

His voice is outstanding! All three judges are in complete agreement as they showered the appliance repair technician in compliments.

Soon after his performance concluded, Katy referred to the young man as a “Christian Chris Stapleton.”

Lionel gave Warren perhaps the biggest compliment when he seemed to predict how far the musician will go in the competition.

“Warren, I’m going to make this very brief,” he said. “That is about as heading down the top 10 road I ever heard in my whole life. I’m telling you he’s strong and he’s top 10.”

Luke added that Warren, with his authentic look and amazing musical ability, will make things difficult for everyone else who has advanced to the next phase of the competition.

“You’re going to shake things up,” Luke said.

In addition to his performance in front of the judges, Warren performs in a small church in the clip. This Christian-singing Chris Stapleton lookalike has been blessed with a beautiful, God-given singing voice!

Psalm 98:4 “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”
